About OtterDen
Den the otter learns by doing. Montessori-aligned toys for small hands: sorting, counting, building sets, dragons, dinosaurs. Made in Armenia.
What this is for
Den learns by doing. So will you. That is the whole proposition, and the reason it can be made at all is that nothing here is held in stock. A piece is printed once somebody asks for it, which means the awkward size is no harder to make than the common one, and the drawing can change between your order and the next.
Who draws it
Every object in the group is drawn by one person, published under Mkhitaryan Designs. That is deliberate. One pair of hands means the pieces agree with each other across the brands, and it means the person who drew a thing is the person who can change it for you.
Where it is made
Drawing, printing, finishing and packing all happen in one building in Yerevan. Nothing is drop shipped and nothing is white labelled. That is why a piece can be reprinted a size larger the same week you ask, and why the answer to "can you change this" is usually yes.
Where this is going
Children who learn with their hands, from toys that teach something without announcing it, and a character they meet before they can read who is working things out alongside them.
What we hold ourselves to
Make toys aligned with the Montessori approach: sorting, stacking, counting, building sets, and simple play like dinosaurs and noughts and crosses. Safe in the mouth, sized for small hands, and Den's stories told so the toy arrives with somebody in it.
How to reach us
Orders and questions both go through Instagram, as @otterden.toys, because that is where the pictures are and a photograph settles most questions faster than a paragraph. For anything written, hello@otterden.toys.
